Tasks of the Admission Office

The Admission Office is responsible for all matters concerning the admission of students.

Tasks of the Admission Office:

  • Admission procedure to all degree programmes at the Vienna University of Technology including administrative decisions:
    - with an Austrian school leaving certificate/degree
    - with a Non-Austrian school leaving certificate/degree
  • Admission procedure to non-degree programs including administrative decision (except postgraduate courses)
  • Co-registration of students from other universities
  • Admission and coordination of the university entrance qualification exam
  • Changes of degree programmes, deregistration of students
  • Leave of absence
  • Matters concering the tuition fee (remission, reimbursement, etc.)
  • Nostrification
  • Acceptance of applications regarding the recognition of examinations (with the involvement of the Studiendekan)
  • Issuing of duplicates and confirmations
  • Quality management and revision of student data (in colloboration with ZID, bmwf, BRZ)
