EU Research Mobility with Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (H2020-MSCA)

Being part of the first pillar „Excellence Science“ in Horizon 2020 the Marie Sklodowska Curie actions foster training and career development of researchers by transnational mobility and by intersectoral and interdisciplinary knowledge transfer. More highly qualified innovative researchers should by attracted by the European Research Area.

There are four actions with partly further sub-actions to be divided as follows:

  • Individual Fellowships (IF)
  • Innovative Training Networks (ITN)
  • Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE)
  • Co-funding of Regional, National and International Programmes (COFUND)

The research topic is open to all domains of research and projects of basic research up to projects that aim to cover market take-up are funded. Participating as Marie Curie fellow mainly depends on research experience and cross-border mobility of the researchers.
Both the activities of the fellows and the host institutions are financially supported. The electronic application of IF is done by the researchers together with a host institution. As regards further actions, representatives of the host institutions apply and recruit or second researchers during the project duration. Vacant fellowships of ongoing projects are published under the EURAXESS Job Portal.
